Hoima Diocese Department of Education (HODIDE) is one of the departments of Hoima Catholic Diocese charged with promoting Education in the Diocese. The department works in the greater Bunyoro sub region Western Uganda with its headquarters in Hoima City. The Department therefore seeks to recruit a Driver to help in the implementation of its activities.

Core Responsibilities
- Safe Operation of Vehicles: The Driver Shall operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all local and international traffic regulations, and ensuring the safety of passengers, goods, and themselves.
- Route Planning and Navigation: The Driver shall plan routes based on traffic, road conditions, and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Cleanliness: Regular inspection, cleaning, and basic maintenance of the vehicle are essential. The Driver shall report any mechanical issues promptly and ensure the vehicle is fueled and ready for use.
- Loading and Unloading: For any delivery, the river shall ensure, safely loading and unloading goods or equipment is a key responsibility, including securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Record Keeping: The Driver shall maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance, and deliveries, which supports operational efficiency and compliance
- Customer Service and Professionalism: The Driver shall interact with clients or passengers professionally, providing courteous service and assistance as needed, such as helping with luggage or explaining schedules.
- Compliance and Safety Protocols: The Driver shall follow company policies, emergency procedures, and safety protocols, including first aid and crisis response when necessary.
- Coordination with Teams: The Driver shall collaborate with logistics, supply chain, or transportation teams to optimize schedules, report incidents, and ensure smooth operations
- Flexibility and Work Hours: The driver may work nights, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs, and must manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Extra Duties. The driver shall be assigned other duties as shall be found applicable by the organization
Qualifications
Minimum of Uganda Advanced Certificate of education with at least 3 years of demonstrated driving experience. Any additional certifications or qualifications will be of an added advantage (Like )

- Be able to work under minimum supervision
Age: 25 – 45 years
